Douglas addresses the placement of picking and feet on the toe loop. He explains an incorrect toe loop explaining a toe axel. He discusses the distance in the feet and getting the heel past your skating foot. He the explains where to pick inside the curve or circle and how picking outside of the circle is wrong. Douglas then in this 3 minute 25 second lesson he compares the take off and acceleration to a airplane runway. You need to get you heel through.
Now you will do a exercise that pulls and crosses. You use the side of your big toe for this exercise. This placement is so imprtant for the combinations. You will see skaters doing this exercise as well.
