This lesson will teach you a proper waltz jump with progressions to ensure you have thr right technique for an axel jump. Tugba uses the line to help you with your pattern. You will learn arm placement,and proper free leg placement. Tugba then uses the boards to give very detailed free foot, knee and bent leg air position.
You will then see Tugba demonstrate the waltz jump exercise in this 3 minute 6 exercise. This gives the viewer a chance to see all of the details discussed earlier in the lesson. Having a good waltz jump is critical to skaters advancement to the axel jump. Also then to the double axel jump. Learning great jump technique early will save time correcting or learning it later.
