How To Stop Arms Swinging On Axel Take Off

$2.99

Product Description

This 2 minute and 44 seconds lesson focuses on the timing and placement of your arms on the Axel take off and how “swingy” arms can negatively affect rotation. Robert talks about the importance of maintaining balance, alignment and stability on the take-off step and stresses the importance of slowing down the arms and maintaining balance and control.

Arms should remain in a stationary v-shape prior to take off with the shoulder of the skating leg leading. When the free leg leaves the ice the arms release and the free leg swings back and up to the buttock.

You will see two great demonstrations in normal speed and slow motion, and hear feedback on their steps, placement and take off.
