Douglas then compares it to a skipping rock across the water. There is no time to pause in between jumps and then you lose momentum.
You then get to see some skater execute double toe double toe combinations. You can learn from well executed jumps as well as how not to do the jumps so pay close attention to the poorly ones on what not to do,
