Toe Loop Outside Three Entry

Product Description

Douglas Haw starts this lesson with the idea that once a skater has mastered a toe loop from an inside three turn you are then ready to do the toe loop from an outside three turn.

Douglas teaches it with a left outside three which he believes builds direction, and gives the skater a longer runway to take off.  Douglas explains in this 3 minute and 7 second video that every jump has an axis.  He uses the red line and a marker to draw out the pattern this is very helpful.

Douglas discusses hand placement then head placement and gives a step by step demonstration.  Your arms position and feet placement are so important.  He uses the arm scissor like action and feet like stepping onto railroad tracks.  This is so very helpful.

Douglas then shows proper picking placement and how your heel draws past and then hit the “h” position.  You will then hear and see Douglas talk about the big teaching point on a double, triple, even quad toe, and it’s the moment to breath on your forward inside edge to outside three turn.  He uses the letter P, present, press, pick, pivot, present.  This will give you the technique to execute this jump every time.
